Rajender Macha, O.D.

Dr. Rajender Macha is a 1998 graduate of Indiana University School of Optometry. He specializes in full-scope optometric care, including contact lens and glasses. He is also trained in ocular disease and can manage cataracts, glaucoma, ocular diabetes, diabetic eye care and macular degeneration.

Angela Cates, O.D.

Dr. Angela Cates got her undergraduate degree from Capital University in Columbus,Ohio in 1998 and then from Indiana University School of Optometry in 2002. She has been practicing at Macha Family Eyecare since 2005 and enjoys every aspect of her job. She is blessed to be doing something she had decided she wanted to do in the 5th grade. Angela is married to fellow optometrist Travis Cates and has wonderful boy/girl twins. She lives in Centerville, IN and enjoys being involved in her church, Bible Study Fellowship, singing, reading and Colts Football!! She feels so blessed to be part of such a great office family and looks forward to helping you with your vision needs!!

Denise Cote, O.D.

Dr. Denise Cot� has been a practicing optometrist since 1997. She graduated as valedictorian from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. She is originally from Illinois, but has lived in Fishers for the past 6 years.

Dr. Cot� is married and has two fantastic children. She enjoys playing piano and spending time with her family (including watching her kids' sports activities!) She also enjoys participating yearly in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. She is very excited about being a part of the Macha Eye Care family!

Kari Riina, O.D.

Dr. Riina was born and raised in Long Island, New York. She earned her Bachelor's Degree from the State University of New York at Albany in Albany, NY in 1990 and her Doctor of Optometry Degree from the State University of New York College of Optometry in New York City in 1994. She completed her hospital-based residency in Ocular Disease at the St. Albans/Brooklyn VA Medical Center in 1995.

Dr. Riina became the Acting Director of the Optometric Residency and Externship Program at the Brooklyn VA Medical Center from 1996-1997. She then practiced primary care optometry in NYC while obtaining further training in cornea, pediatrics, and low vision.

Dr Riina is a wife and mother of three beautiful children. She moved to the Indianapolis area when her husband acquired a job here. Now residing in the northeast Indianapolis area, she joined our group and is practicing primary care, pediatric, and low vision cutting edge Optometry.

Dr. Riina is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) and is a current member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the Indiana Optometric Association (IOA). She has lectured on Diabetic Retinopathy and Glaucoma and has written an article on Glaucoma published in Clinical Eye and Vision Care.

Front Office Staff

Becky

I joined MFEC in July 2004 and brought over 8 years experience in management and team leadership. I oversee the business operation of the front office as well as the staff you interact with as you make your appointments, check in for your appointment, and check out. I oversee any staff that impacts all aspects of the financial side of the Dr. Macha�s office including your insurance company. After work I enjoy spending time with my family. Feel free to contact me with complaints or complements regarding the operation of the business office.

Brandi

In April 2009 I joined MFEC as part of the front office team. I enjoy helping communicate with our patients through follow up calls, reminder cards and appointments you call in to set. I get to ask you all those fun medical and insurance questions! I usually get to meet many of you as you check out after you see the Doctor. I am presently attending Purdue University for my Bachelors Degree. But at the end of the day, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and our "kids" Buddy (dog) and Annie (cat).

Priscilla

A native of Madison County, I began my optical career over 17 years ago just after sight was discovered. :) In the front office I can answer any question you may have about your insurance, our services and/or our fees. My extensive optical experience allows me to work successfully with the most challenging and difficult prescriptions as well as fitting and dispensing contact lenses. I can also repair and adjust frames for you comfort. It is very important to me that you feel you are well taken care of and that your visit wit us is a positive experience.

Amy

I am the insurance billing coordinator here at MFEC. I take care of billing insurance on behalf of our patients. I can also help with questions about your insurance benefits or your patient account. As always, I am happy to assist in scheduling an appointment for your next eye exam. I have over 14 years of medical office experience and have been with MFEC since 2006.

Alexis

I joined MFEC one year ago. I work part time helping in our goal to go electronic by scanning patient charts into the computer. I also play an essential role in organizing the charts. I plan to attend college after I graduate high school.

Back Office Staff

I started with Dr. Macha in November 2001 when he and I did every task in the front and back office, including janitorial duties! It has been an awesome experience to be a part of MFEC. I was drawn to Dr. Macha�s underlying goal to give good service to those who come to our office. My job is to direct all the staff members who help our patients select frames and lenses and contacts that meet their vision and life style needs. I also oversee the pretesting of our patients as well as the production from our in-house lab. I look forward to seeing you for your eye care needs.

Michelle

I came to work for MFEC in October 2008, but have been in the optical field for over 7 years. My skills and duties include assisting you in selection of the proper frames and lenses as dictated by your life style and prescription. I also assist our patients in proper fit and repair of their glasses. Feel free to contact me if you want to schedule an appointment or if you have any questions regarding frames and lenses. Dawn

As a lifetime resident of Anderson, I have over 11 years experience in optometry. I joined MFEC in 2008 as a optometric technician. When you come in for your annual appointment, I am most likely the person who will utilize our state of the art measuring and diagnostic equipment to determine your eye health prior to you visiting with Dr. Macha or one of his associate Doctors. I love the personal interaction I have with MFEC patients and look forward to seeing you again soon.

My name is Karen, and I have been in the optical business for 18 years. I have been a certified Opthalmic Assistant since 1999. I am one of the technicians that takes patients back for pre-testing, which is getting the patient ready to see the doctor. I can also help you with frame selection and discuss with you options for prescription lenses. I am also able to help you with adjustments that may be needed to your eyewear.
